About the Role
A registered behavior technician supports and implements a patient care plan created by a board-certified behavior analyst. They provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors so clients can build and improve upon their communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Prior engagement with children. Some examples may include work as a nanny, daycare provider, preschool teacher, babysitter, etc.
Patience. Many clients throw tantrums, express frustration and protest in various ways. This is normal. This is the behavior we’re trying to eliminate and replace with appropriate skills.
A high school diploma.
Your own personal, reliable vehicle to travel to clients' treatment settings.
Ability to play very active games with the children, including getting up and down from the floor repeatedly as well as kneeling, squatting and walking or running.
Enough computer experience to navigate to a website in order to enter in the notes about each visit into the client's medical records.

Our primary goal is to increase the functioning of each client. We focus on four pivotal areas: Motivation, response to multiple cues, self-management, and initiation of social interactions. Sessions occur in a variety of settings which can include home, school and community settings.
