MEET THE BCBA

Ashley Smith-Nonnarath, M.S., BCBA, LBA

 

Ashley Smith-Nonnarath, M.S., BCBA, LBA is a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has has worked in the field of applied behavior analysis since 2013. She has experience working in homes, schools and community settings with children ranging in ages from one year up to 20 years old with a variety of developmental delays. Her primary interest is in increasing communication skills and independence. She loves to create sessions that keep the client engaged in fun and creative ways, placing a strong emphasis on natural learning opportunities. She has experience in assessments, developing treatment plans and overseeing the progress of those plans while managing a diverse group of RBTs. Her passion for ABA comes from working with the whole family as a unit to bring them together and empowering parents to regain their confidence.  Ashley received her bachelor's degree from California State University East Bay with a degree in Sociology. She received her master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in autism from The Sage Colleges.

Clinical Supervisor

Phillip Coles M.S., BCBA, LBA

Phillip Coles, M.S., BCBA, LBA  is a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with extensive experience working with individuals with emotional, behavioral, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Since 2011, he has worked in various settings and roles implementing behavior modification strategies. He began his career as an Inclusion Specialist providing pull-in services for children with mild to severe disabilities with their non-disabled peers. He later matriculated to work as a Behavior Specialist in public and private schools across Washington D.C and Maryland. During his tenure as a behavior specialist, he developed programs that encouraged student engagement, taught social-emotional lessons, and continued to provide coaching and professional development to teachers. Phillip received his Master of Science in psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), from Capella University. Phillip has a passion and enthusiasm for individuals growing and reaching their full potential.

Clinical Supervisor

Akiel-Tyler Green, M.S., BCBA, LBA

Akiel-Tyler Green, M.S., BCBA, LBA  is a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the state of Maryland. He has been working with children in various capacities over the last 7 years. Throughout his career Akiel has served in a myriad of roles in ABA such as parent trainer, educator, behavioral therapist, clinical supervisor and clinical director . Akiel is passionate about the dissemination of the science of ABA and has a personal interest in increasing minority representation in the field of behavior analysis. Akiel’s interest in behavior analysis includes ethics and compliance, early intensive behavioral interventions, harm reduction among neurodiverse groups, Acceptance and commitment therapy, and interventions to address severe behavioral disorders. Akiel is currently a doctoral candidate whose research interest focuses on medical racism and access to preventive care for immigrants groups.
